We all know of the Google's Google TV for its good publicity. Logitech was one of the first manufacturers to start selling devices running on Google TV. The device was named Revue and according to CEO Guerrino De Luca, resulted in a loss of more 100 million dollars for the company. Now, the company is stopping further development of Google TV and thus, there won’t be any devices that will replace the Revue.

CEO Guerrino De Luca added more color to story “To make the long story short, we thought we had invented  [sliced] bread and we just made them. [We made a commitment to] just build a lot because we expected everybody to line up for Christmas and buy these boxes [at] $300 [...] that was a big mistake.”
Logitech invested in a product which was in beta stage and now isn’t looking to sustain the development of the product. Google with it’s big deep pockets will definitely keep the project of Google TV alive but the rolling of updates is definitively slow in current phase. Google definitely got the punch from LG for ignoring it.
