Google replace ringtones with… ads!

Google filed a new patent that, according to them, will benefit users, but the only sure thing is that if this is realized, it will tear through our nerves. You think it’s annoying when the cell phone of the person next to you rings by the sound of some hillbilly song? Imagine though, that at every call you could be listening about that new detergent. Google’s patent is about replacing ringtones with commercial messages. This service (if ever realized) will recognize the caller’s number and location, and will announce ads relative to stores close to that location. Users will be paid according to how much of the commercial message they listened to, before responding to the call.

The best part is to hear that user will be paid for the commercial message they listen to. So here is an tip -- Make a call to your own mobile from an another phone and get paid :)
