Watson, a computer that can understand natural language and deliver a single,precise answer to a question. Watson was born to IBM's Deep QA project led by principal investigator David Ferrucci. Watson was named after IBM's first president, Thomas J.Watson. As watson is capable of processing the natural language, its applications were estimated to be high. The main focus was to implement watson in medical field. Surely it will lead to a day in which we will be surprised to see the TV monitors in place of doctors. As watson is going to deal with human life it must be tested under a prefect platform. So the developers that thrown it in jeopardy, America's famous quiz game show.
Watson wasn't good at the initial swipe but later on with the help of its own algorithm generating skill, IBM servers, tetra bytes of memory made it to win four games against ken Jennings, 74 times winner of jeopardy. Thus having a great training under jeopardy now watson is ready for its purpose of invention. Thomas J Watson, the founder of IBM strongly believed and preached everyone to "THINK" . Now his fellow being had made even a machine to "THINK".
