Nokia working on its own tablet

Amazing 41-MP Lumia 808 pureview camera phone from Nokia made them a talk of the day at MWC. Now they are gonna give a try on tabs. Nokia design chief Marko Ahtisaari  is spending a third of his time on creating a tablet for the cellphone maker, which would stand out among hundreds of iPad-challengers, he said in an interview with Finnish magazine Kauppalehti Optio.

Nokia's Chief Executive Stephen Elop has said the category is interesting for the Finnish company, but has stressed the need for a different approach to numerous rivals trying to battle against the dominance of Apple's iPad. It looks like Nokia is gonna use Windows 8 in its new tab. If rumours are to be believed, the device will feature a 10-inch screen, and will come powered with Qualcomm's dual-core processor.
"Nokia is expected to outsource production of the 10-inch tablets to Compal Electronics with the first batch of shipments to top 200,000 units," reported Digitimes, an online tech publication.

"We continue to eye the tablet space with interest, but have made no specific announcements," a company spokesman said on Thursday.
